This will be the last re-shuffle now until our exciting exhibition schedule takes of in May.

First up Scottish artist, Lyken who has just finished making waves with a massively successful solo show in Glasgow, we’ve seen the pictures and if they’re anything to go by then you’ll want to be catching this show – opening night 4th May.

Next up is English writer Erms / Ermone who will be joing us from Paris (his current place of residence).  He has some pretty exciting ideas for the space so you’re not going to wanting to miss this one either.

The opening night for this show is the 1st June which co-incides with the start of the Bristol Biennial, so this won’t be any normal gallery opening as there will also be live music and entertainment, to include Kev the poet and the Triangulators (full details to follow).

Ladies love the summer and this summer we are loving the ladies.  The 29th of June sees the opening of a joint show with Fran Williams and Leanne Ellis, two very different styles but both extremly beautiful.

Advent Opening – 4th Dec

December 6, 2009

What a night!

It was a quiet start which did cause a little anxiety as the 2 degree gallery space is pretty well unknown and off the beaten track!

But people did find us and the gallery and the evening saw a constant flow of people.  The space was really well received as was the art work on display which, as we were showcasing some new and different artists, gave us all a very warm feeling inside.

We were particularly pleased to welcome Pedro Matos a Portuguese artist who actually made the journey to be at the opening night.  It was really good to meet him and his girlfriend and were stoked that they could be there – thanks guys.

It was a particularly bleak evening on the weather front and we would like to thank everybody for turning out and making Friday such a great night – the mulled cider and flaming brazier certainly helped.  And many people hung around despite the weather evening after we shut the doors for the night.

Here are a few snaps of the evening – the show is open until the 20th December Wed – Sun 11am to 7pm so if you couldn’t make it on Friday or even if you did but want to come and have another gander there is plenty of time to pop along.

For those of you who are unable to make please take a look at the attched pdf document (click on the word advent below) and if anything takes your fancy drop us a line at all@art-el.co.uk.
